So I got a call from Burger King HQ's today

Last week I went through the drivethrough to get some food. Well of course like always, "Could you please pull up and we will bring your food out to you." Ok so I did...15 minutes later and no food and people are steady pulling up and getting their food and leaving. So i was getting pissed and out comes a girl, "Are you waiting on food?" WTF??? I don't want it, give me bavk my money. So she went back in and came out with my money. I spotted a sign with comments number. So I wrote it down to call and complain. Well I did and got a recording that promted me to record a message. I was for sure I would never hear from them, well this afternoon someone called and asked me about it and gave me free food at my local BK.

It is not uncommon at all. McDonalds, Wendy's, and BK all do this. In CA you used to be able to get a coupon for a free whopper anytime as many times as you wanted in different visits if you called their comment number on the bottom of the reciept and took a survey.

Back when I used to eat fast food I got a coupon from Wendy's for free salads, just for talking to the district manager one day behind the counter in a friendly way that Wendy's salads were so much better than McDonalds.

I called the Arby's comment line one time and left a message that a particular store was doing really well. I received a message on my home phone that apologized for my experience and asked for my address to send coupons to.

Not really surprised; exactly how many people call a comment line and leave a positive message? I'm curious as to know the real numbers.

Poor management. You should have received your money and 2 free meal coupons on the spot. Plus whatever the Franchise Corporation would give you.

I spent a couple years as a BK manager. I handed them free slips out like water.

"Thank you for your feedback. We will strive to suck harder next time."

Still works in FL, and I've never done the survey, I just write random numbers down in the "confirmation code" field and it always works.

I once made a complaint at Taco Bell and I got a call back but I didn't pick up. Well they didn't bother calling back and I think they were satisfied with the fact that they at least attempted to called me instead of reaching me to discuss the problem.

Now go back to BK and get the same crappy service? You beat the system.
