And I ask the lady for some Job 1.25 rolling papers. She turned around and looked, and then tells me they only have Job 1 1/4 papers and asked if they would work. I said yes, paid and left.

I wish I could say she was joking.

Sigh....seriously?

Yes I know the say 1 1/4 now, they used to say 1.25. My point is that the lady didn't realize 1.25 is the same damn thing as 1 1/4.

ZigZag single width is the best easy to get paper. Club single, or Rizla Blue are the best in general.

I used to think so too. Then I tried Elements Rice Papers.

So much better than everything else in the world.

My question is, how do you actually say the name of these papers?

Do you say "One point two five" or "One and a quarter"?

Because whether the box says 1.25 or 1 1/4, I'd say them both "One and a quarter".

Irrelevant to the thread, but what the hell is the point of that signature? Just a random list of stuff that you own?

From the op it should be clear that he said "One point two five", unless he lives in a comic book and his speech consists of text floating in front of his head. Basic reasoning fail.

No, not basic reasoning fail.

1.25 and 1 1/4 are both commonly spoken aloud as "One and a quarter"

Yes, but read what the op said. Do you think the cashier would say "Do you mean one and a quarter?" if he said "I need one and a quarter"?

I think the cashier might have said, "Do you mean one and one-fourth?" if he had said "I need one and a quarter".
