I've spent a few hours going over stuff to make sure nothing is being left behind. The trip is 4 weeks, will be moving around from Tokyo to Nagoya to Osaka to Sapporo with two friends.

What am I forgetting to bring

You're in Boston? That's going to be a long flight (11 hours from LAX --> Tokyo Narita (NRT) and 5 hours from LAX ---> Boston Logan, so you're looking at at least 16 hours of travel time ... where are you stopping over?)

And the flight back home will be even longer!

I'm going to be stopping in New York at JFK.
So yes, as usual Amol's calculations are correct.

The way back will be about 16 too.
Based on the flight times and the fact that Boston is 13 hours behind Tokyo.

Have I ever been wrong? :p

I just know because my family travels to India frequently and we've stopped over in Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Sydney, Singapore, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Frankfurt, London, and Zurich on the way there ... I remember the travel times for each :p

Incheon (Seoul) is one sweet ass airport, I've stopped there 3 times in my life for extended periods of time.
More impressive is your knowledge of proper international city spelling and airport codes :)

I remember in 2nd or 3rd grade, I wanted to be an airline pilot and I memorized a lot of the airport codes and airline abbreviations :p

Looking back, I was a weird kid  :p

And, I'll be visiting Incheon again for an 8 hour and 6 hour stopover in August on my way to India :)

If you haven't been there in a while, as of last august they had a nice little array of flatscreened computers with free internet on the upper "lounge" floor central section inside the circular terminal setup. (Preposition overload:p)

Ooh, I'll have to check that out. I havn't been there since 1998 or 1999.

Last Asian airport I was in was Hong Kong. They renovated it very nicely but it's very annoying when your flight is at the end of the concourse. The distance between each gate is so huge that you are practically forced to use the moving walkways.

Asian airports > *

Yes, Incheon is quite nice.
It is essentially a giant oval with gates all around the outside, and some shopping at one end and some various stuff like first class and business lounges in the center of the oval, but also the free internet computer station, a "nap hotel", and a massage place.
I was lucky enough to have my stays there be in the early morning hours of 5-8am, where there would be literally silence at times, and the huge panoramic glass windows giving a great view of the sunrising (literally windows extending from floor to the ciealing all around the ovalish terminal. They even have giant indoor potted trees!

Oops, almost forgot that they had a pretty decent and updated arcade near the internet station. (Was closed because I was there so early)

I'd feel more secure with it in a locked bag in a locked locker than the ever dangerous chance of it falling out of my pants as I sweat off any remaining bodyfat in the ridiculously humid weather.

Of course I'll try to bring it everywhere, but it isn't exactly the size of an SD card.

I have a knack for misplacing SD cards, they're too small for their own good.

That's why my next camera is going to be CF. :p

lol. I wore khakis all the time, so i just put in my back pocket, buttoned it up and that was it.

Oh, and make sure you make a copy of your passport and keep it elsewhere of your actual passport. I believe the govt recommends that.
