I planted several different flowering plants that attract Hummingbirds and butterflies.

Cardinal flower, Delphiniums, Coral bells, Beebalm, Foxglove, Obedient plant, hollyhock and some others that I cant remember right now...

The garden is dominated by my favorite Columbine :)

my only concern now is a late frost..need to keep a close eye on the overnight low's

See what happens when you get old :p

Pretty cool idea leftyman, you will have to put up some pics when things start blooming. I didn't plant a garden but I did buy some preying mantis eggs that we are waiting to hatch (more of a science experiment for the little guy). :)

There was a thread awhile back about them, I ended up getting mine here:

Bugs

You can also get ladybugs by the bajillions too! :)

Everything is pretty small right now, bought all my plants in the 1 qt. containers, and are around 3-5 inches tall right and none are in bloom now...
With the exception of the Columbine which are about a foot tall and showing some really amazing flowers :)

I'll post some later this spring and summer with Hummingbirds visiting.
