So I finally got around to watching Batman Begins

SAWYER

I must first say that I am not a comic/comic movie fan, and especially not Batman. I decided to rent it to see what all the fuss was about, while it was much better than any other Batman movie I have seen is was nothing to go crazy over. About the only positive thing I can say is at least is was a lot more darker and serious that the previous Batman movies, those were beyond lame.

You have very poor taste.

This Batman series makes the 80s-90s Batman series look like it's on the campy end of the spectrum with the 60s Batman. :Q

Come on, the one with Jim Carry was beyond ridiculous

Correct, that's because Tim Burton didn't direct it. Batman and Batman Returns are legendary.

Whew! Thank you. I can finally rest. I haven't been able to get ANY sleep wondering what the OP though of the Batman series.
<--- Goes to take a nap.

No, he's mostly correct. The two Batman films he was talking about (Val Kilmer in Batman Forever and then George Clooney in Batman & Robin) are indeed beyond lame. These are the Joel Schumacher films.

The two Tim Burton Batman films were good but I like Nolan ones better.

While I loved Batman / Batman Returns, can you honestly say not liking the Val Kilmer / George Clooney flicks is "poor taste"? I thought they were beyond silly.

You're right, Batman and Robin, and Batman Forever, were terrible, awful movies. But the first Batman was simply fantastic. Jack Nicholson was absolutely perfect as the Joker. I prefer him to Ledger's performance. And the Burton movies are definitely dark. Batman Begins is dark, literally. But Batman was a HUGE departure from the campy Adam West Batmans of the 60's.

Batman Begins was pretty meh. I appreciated the atmosphere, but it was only so-so as a movie.

The Dark Knight was fvcking fantastic, though. One of the rare sequels that vastly outdoes the original.

Yeah, yeah, we get it. Sawyer hates Batman. Do you have to mention it in every friggin Dark Knight/Batman thread? Wasn't working out? Make a thread of your own.
Face it, you are in the minority when it comes to your opinions. And try as you might, you aren't going to change other people's minds.

This. Begins, though a so-so movie, was no where near what Dark Knight turned out to be.
