So I deposited my paycheck into the ATM...

And it ate it. But the deposit door never closed, it just sat there churning away.. Just before the door snapped shut, and the ATM gave me an error.. I saw my envelope sitting in there, stuck.

Now what? :Q Anybody else ever had this happen?

I imagine that when they service the ATM, they will pull my accordion-like envelope out of the rollers and it will be run through as normal. Yes?

I did, but apparently they don't service the ATMs themselves, so I had to call Wells Fargo's 1800 number, and start an ATM claim.

I should have just ran the ATM over and retrieved my check. lol

It will turn up. I once deposited a check in the atm that I forgot to sign and without a deposit slip, they figured it out in just a couple days.

Not signing is understandable, but without an envelope?

Who the heck uses an envelope? Just feed the checks into the machine. They are recorded and marked just like they are when you deal with a teller.

You know...automated teller machine.

lol

Normally, when you insert the envelope, it closes just after it takes it. That never happened, and after a few moments I realized the machine was still sitting there asking me for my envelope.

Thats when the door snapped shut, and the ATM displayed an error.
