So I decided to write a script for a movie....

This is a long story, but I'll give you the short version 😉

I am not a writer... at all. Actually, I make a living as a webmaster. Anyway, last year I was watching the Clerks 10th anniversary edition and I just sat there thinking, "Hell, if Kevin Smith can make a living in movies, so can I!"

However, I didn't really want to invest my financial future actually FILMING a movie, so I decided to try my hand at screenwriting instead. I bought a bunch of books about screenwriting and went to work. Months later and after 11 revisions, I was done with my first script.

And then flash to today, I get an email notifying me that my script is a quarterfinalist in the Scriptapalooza screenwriting competition (which is actually a fairly large contest - there were about 4000 entires). If I win I'll get $10K. I'm trying not to get too excited, but it's still pretty cool 😀

Check it out: http://www.scriptapalooza.com/ Go to the quarterfinalists announcement. Mine's the last one listed on the page "Techs by Brian Kuss"

Wish me luck!

Dude, that's awesome. I've always wanted to write movies but being too poor to actually film them I can't do so. Thanks for the link and good luck!
