I stopped into the Adobe, which is a fast food mexican joint. They are a little more expensive than Taco Bell, but better quality food IMO.

Anyway, there is a lady in line in front of me who orders $18 in food for 3 people. I order a $5 combo meal for myself. A few minutes later, my food comes up at the order window. The attendant packages my food in a bag and hands it to me. The woman then gets a little fustrated that her food isn't out before mine and asks the attendant why. He explains that they ordered 3 large wet burritos and it takes longer to make than 2 tacos and a small bag of chips (which is what I had).

I decide to stick around just to hear the rest of this at this point.

She continues to bitch at the attendant about a time frame for her food and such. She got the food in less than 5 minutes from the time she ordered it. On her way out, she mentions that if they needed tips, she wouldn't have left one. :p

Is anyone else that impatient or was she just having a bad day or something?

She's just a bitch.

One thing I learned at BK was that people are so pissy about their food. I mean if they were at home and their wife had accidentally put onions in something they would be unhappy but they wouldn't get all pissed off and yell.

seriously, I'll be stereotypical in assuming the employees speak spanish

if I was the cashier I'd turn around and relay to the cooks that this lady needs a little something extra in her sour cream

if she was going to get such a large order and be in a rush, theres a interesting new concept that just started oh-id-say-probably-about-60-years-ago called: phoning in your order!!

I hate people that feel the need to bitch...sure it feels good sometimes, but kindness truely gets you more...
I once complemented on the salads at Wendy's and how i liked them better to McDonald's, and thats why i was choosing to wait for them to make a salad becuase they did not have one pre-made at the time, and the manager gave me a coupon for 5 more freee salads and any windy's of my choice that did not expire!

i also once saw an old women get a close to pent-house level room in a ritz carlton becuase they overbooked and the clerk told her pretty much, "hey its are fault, but F off!"
and the women kept saying repeatedly with a smile in a kind voice, "No you must be mistaken sir, i have my code comformation key right here on this recepit, i am sure your fine facilities would not put me in such a predicament, and such a helpful young man like youself cannot find me my room?...

finally come supervisor came over and said, ty mam for not causing a disturbance, i really appreciate you not getting angry at us ebcuase i see we have made a mistake and you have every right to do so. After kicking the clerk off of the computer he said "we have a room in floor 5 that will be opening shortly, but to make sure that you do not get a room that is not cleaned properly, i can put you in a room on the 25 or w/e floor at no extra charge to you...let one of my assistance show you the way...."

I must admit after workign at a fast food restraunt we had a time limit on how long you were allowed before you MUST have their food out. If you consistently missed that time you got )*@$ at. There are some rare cases where you just get slammed for an hour and you are unable to catch up.

But, I must admit I get frustrated when I go into a FAST food restraunt and order something. Then as I watch them make it it takes them all day to put a burger together and give it to me.

I don't get frustrated at all if I know that they are going as fast as possible.

Oh, and btw, I don't really blame the lady for getting mad. Not sure what kind of fast food restraunt it was but 5 minutes with no one in front of her when she ordered is a bit ridiculous. Although it also depends on if these "wet burrito's" have to be grilled or whatever. But if you just slap them together and all the ingredients are pre-made.... 5 minutes must mean that they weren't working very hard in my book.

I think any person ordering more than 2 portions should be made to wait the longest. There's a popular deli I go to every day and every once in a while some chump makes an order of 5+ sandwiches for all his buddies at the office. This automatically adds extra 10-15 minutes of wait to all the people behind him. I think you should have to call in big orders like that.

I believe what you reap is what you sow, i hope when she got back to work she was 2 minutes late or something, and her boss gave her the same crap she gave that guy.

One night i was at in-n-out and it was like a wednesday at 12:30am, but for some reason.. it was really really really packed. Like lunch hour on a saturday packed. There were only 3 people there, 1 taking orders, 1 packaging the stuff, and 1 guy cooking the food. So it was going very slowly. I think i waited 20 minutes or so for my food, but everyone there was being patient. One guy of course is an ass and is yelling at the guy who's calling numbers, saying how he's been waiting for 5 minutes and he doesn't haveh is food. The best part was when some guy who was waiting was like "Dude, are you fuc-ing retarded?! can you not see there are THREE people working right now. did you not see it when you ordered?! God! If you're going to be a retarded dick, please be quiet about it" and the guy just leaves :p
