in the winter diesel should cost around 2.29, which is about 15 cents more than regular. In the summer, when regular is usually up, diesel should be about 20-25 cents less than regular. Even then, a Civic will get about 500 on a tank.Let alone diesels can go into the 300,000 mile range.

It always depends on how you drive it. Many gas cars can also go into the 300,000 mile range. It just depends on how it's driven.
