and again, I'll not bother answering that question, which is so clearly an attempt to discredit my views based on my experiences (or lack of), as opposed to you having the balls (or intellect) to engage with my views directly

Well, your views are utter crap, so he's trying to see if they're the product of idealism or of bad experiences.

I have a real job. How does that change anything that has been said in this thread? Unfair dismissal laws, miminum wage, these things can all be introduced as a way of setting limits to some of the negative (as defined by a community) outcomes of capitalism. This is not "socialism", it's just people collectively setting some reasonable limits on how badly a corporation is able to behave and be allowed to continue operating in our communities.

You keep talking about "unfair dismissal", well being fired for incompetence or not doing the job you were hired for is not unfair in any way shape or form. You are simply a socialist who feels everyone "deserves" employment like it is some kind of right. Grow up, employment is a privelege that must be earned.

The problem with that is that it will limit the ability fo business to function and be competitative, and will reduce drive in people. If you knew you couldn't lose your job, would you strive to be the best? And for that matter, how could you have that job if the businesses never hired because they couldn't afford to pay new staff?
