So, I can't get a Mazda 3, they're out of stock!

Great, after looking at a ton of cars i finally come back to the mazda and whammo, I can't get it with the features i want.

Here's the deal..

I can get the GS but I either get Power Package or the Sport Package (not both).

I can try and get the GT, but I can't get a sunroof.

In order for me to get the one I want I have to wait 3 months for another shipment to come in!!

Wait or check all the dealerships within 200 miles of you

THe bad thing is you shouldn't put many miles on it in the beginning just because you have to drive at a constant speed for so long

You could be waiting all year. I've come to realize that there is a big diff between the car you make on a dealer website and the reality of which car is actually available. Sure you can get that one, though you may have to wait a dog's age.

I went to the dealership on friday, and they had one, came back on saturday and they were gone.

If you want the car that much, then waiting for the options you want shouldn't be a big deal. If you're in a situation where you need a car right now, then you take what you can get.
 
Also, if you order a car with the exact features you want, chances are you're not going to get as good of a deal on it. Kinda like when the 350Z came out. You were lucky to order one and pay MSRP for it.
 
is it selling that well right now? I got mine about a month ago and they had everything in stock. well i'm glad its selling well nevertheless.

some questions...what should one do with a new car (ie. drive slow, dont' brake hard). how long does it take to break in? how long before i can really see what the car is made of? What should one NOT do?
