It is a '99 Suzuki GSX-1300r aka the Hayabusa. In 2000 the EU required that no bike exceed 300 kph (186 mph). The Japanese did not want to make one machine for the EU and one for everyone else, so everyone got limited. Although there are work arounds for this, it involves some non-original modifications, making this technically the fastest production bike ever made. Top end is 197 mph. Sub 10 sec quarter miles. Nirvana

HP is somewhere around 160 and the cost 11k.

Sounds pretty fscking impressive, nice bike.

I never knew what your nickname meant until today, you learn something new every day.

I haven't opened my Canon A40 yet, does it come with rechargeables? I have some Panasonic 1600 mAH's I got for cheap from CostCo which should work well.

Oh yeah, digicams eat through alkalines like I eat through Quizno's clam chowdah.

I've got the A40 too but I haven't had a chance to play with the video option yet.

Ok How many people have the A40 and how many people have just bought one? I boguht one on Tuesday followed by RossMan on Wednesday I believe and someone had bought one the week before too. Its a sweet camera. Just a little wierd that we all got them at the same time.

I haven't taken mine outside yet for pictures. Hopefully this weekend. I'm going to stop at Walmart and get about 9 prints made from my first set of pictures.

Why didn't I bring my camera to work today? grrr!!! There is a little fawn about a foot long laying in the grass outside my office window. If I go down the hall, I could take some decent pictures without disturbing it.

I'll play the .avi when I get home where I have speakers and big brother isn't looming.

How long of a movie can you fit onto 64, 128 or 256MB CF?

The movie is about 2 meg and its 9 seconds long. I believe the limit for the camera is 30 seconds.

Are there different levels of movie mode quality?

6MB for 30 seconds doesn't sound that bad at all.

In all honesty: no clue. About the only thing I got done with the camera this evening is install a copy of the manual (pdf form) onto my Visor so I have it with me. I got a little side tracked with my $20 scanner from Best Buy that finally arrived today.
