I got it for $97 including shipping, tax, and the MIR I'm going to use.
My system is a Dell E510:
Pentium D 2.8ghz (820)
2x512 DDR2
160gb 7200RPM HD
With my ATI 128mb x300, I got a 3dMark 06 of 187.
With the 6800XT 256mb, I got a 3dMark 06 of 1452. That's almost an 8x improvement.
I was running BF2 at 800x600 set to low and I was getting smooth frames, now I'm playing it at 1024x768, with details set to medium and 2xAA. It runs really smooth and I have a feeling I can bump the details to high (but keep textures at medium because of my lack of RAM) and move it up to 4xAA and still have great frames.
My only gripe is that the onboard fan is pretty damn loud.
For $97, it was an awesome upgrade
