i guess a spool of Monster Speaker Wire should be sufficient for all the speakers right? (i measured distance i need). but all the speakers will use same wire right?

is it ok that I am going to be routing some of the speaker wires along the back of my TV? do i need to worry about elctromagentic interference or anything like that?

I have a tv mounted on my wall and want to put up the left/right right up on the sides of the TV (just about touching the TV) and the center touching along the bottom (though i'd first take out the speaker that came with the tv attached along the bottom). is there any issue with putting these speakers so close to the tv? i figured not because the tv came with a speaker all along the bottom of it... but i dont know.

anything els ei should watch out for?

edit: oh should i buy some pin connectors for the ends of the speaker cables or is that a waste of money? i'd buy them if their cost was worth it .. i think some of my speakers have the input where you lift up spring loaded tab and insert wire then let go, while other speakers have some caps you unscrew put wire in then tighten. would those connector pins not work for one of these?

MonoPrice.com and CableWholesale.com are good online stores to buy quality cables at for low prices. Monster makes quality cables but it's very often vastly overpriced and makes no noticeable difference.

Speaker wires behind the TV should not be a problem. Generally you don't want to run them along side power cords or other A/V cables if you can help it but it may not matter.

You need to check if your speakers are magnetically shielded. If they are you can place them as close to your TV as you like. If they aren't they may cause the TV's picture to distort.

I don't use banana plugs myself but I hear they're useful for making quick connections to the speakers & amp. I'd rather save my money since it's not like I'm doing that very often.

The shielding only really matters if you're using them with a CRT. It sounds like you're not since it's wall mounted.

Usually you're not going to want to have your speakers right up against a wall unless they were designed with that use in mind.

If they're rear ported, getting them right up against a wall will be especially bad.

What kind of speakers are you using?

As for terminating the speaker wires, I wouldn't worry about that unless you plan on connecting / disconnecting them a lot (just to make it that much easier).

If your speakers have spring clips on them, you might be in trouble for using heavier gauge wires or getting wire termination connections that will easily work with them.

Bare wire is probably the way to go.
