So I bought one of those generic Speedlites

It claim an impressive GN58 at ISO-100 for 105mm, which is exactly the same power output as my Canon Speedlite 580EX II if it is true. And, from what I gathered it would make an excellent slave flash to the 580EX II. The only downside to the YN is that it doesn't support HSS which is a great feature for outdoor fill flash.

The YN-568EX TTL has HSS!!

Works great, Had the flash for about 9 months.
