First, and AWD Evo is nothing to fvck with. Aside from a Turbo Supra, and an STI, ther is really not much out there that can match its power, versatility and real world performance as far as imports go. Versus domestics, their quality is top notch, (hehehe Mustang GTs and F-Bodies.... close, but no cigar)

Second, the Evo is a pne of the last true factory performance cars; this car was BUILT for rally/ auto cross racing. Thats its only purpose in life, that and to waste every other rice car out there.

Third, there is a massive distinction between a ricer and an Import. IMHO, a ricer is a wanna be import. A ricer will try to take ANYTHING that is imported (and some compact domestic cars) and do the standard wing/fart can/ intake. They will also find a cheap paint job just so their gobi beige automatic 4 door civic can be a red, yellow or other color that does nothing but attract attention.

And import driver disinguishes between show and go. An Import driver will put the money where it counts... UNDER THE HOOD. He/ she will also make sure that everything they do to their car is matched (just slapping on a muffler and intake will, in most cases, cause the vehicle to LOSE performance). While style isnt totally forgotten, smoking the crap outta their opponent is the FIRST priority.

Many other differences, but those are major ones.

BTW, this is coming from an individual who still holds the 1970 Chevelle SS as his favorite ride of all time!

Last thing.... an SRT-4 is STILL just a Neon. :)

Very nicely put.

I have a much simpler definition of rice: all show and no go. It includes both imports and domestics, nobody's immune to it. To me, it's the equivalent of sticking a baseball card in your bicycle's spokes as a kid and pretending that it's a motorcycle.

i love this commercial

Nah... Until you get married and have kids, it's still ok. After that, you need something safer because you have a family to take care of.

You can get a used '04-'05 for ~$15k.
