The guy gave me a receipt (a regular walmart receipt) and said that should be "good enough" for tomorrow until they can mail me a real license.

I paid for it. I have a receipt.

no....it's like the MA RMV. They claim that the receipt for doing a renewel or replacement license online will suffice as a driver's license (not an ID) and it even states this on the receipt. It could not be further from the truth. I got pulled over for having my rear tail light out. the cop gave me a 20 minute lecture about how i could be taken in for driving without a valid license.
