I have been on a search for this beer for about 6 months, it is not sold in Georgia because the alcohol content is far too high, but it is considered the holy grail for hop heads. Today, I flew into Pittsburgh, and had a 24 pack waiting for me at the distributor.
I am sitting at my laptop in a hotel, and have poured my first bottle. I have not tasted the beer, but the color is almost that of the caramelized top of a pumpkin pie, very nice. It poured smooth with a slight head, but the smell is amazing, very sweet, very pungent.
Wow, what a sweet beer, it is incredibly hoppy, but sophisticatedly balanced by the sweetness of the brew. I have a feeling this is going to go down way too smoothly for such a high grav beer.
It leaves a slightly bitter after taste, but over all it's a very good beer.
