So I bought 2 refurbished wireless 360 controllers from consumer depot

Followed the procedure. One of the worked perfectly. The other won't sync. Seems strange though, since the controller and the 360 are actually communicating. For example, I press the sync button on the 360, the lights on the 360 spin, then I press it on the controller, and both the lights on the controller and 360 begin to flash as if they were trying to sync, but it never gets anywhere. Also, if I shut off the 360 it shuts off the controller.

But anyways, can't really find anything on google, consumerdepot.com wants to charge return shipping and says that if they find nothing wrong with the controller they will charge a restocking fee.

So I try MS. Their site sucks. Can't find what I'm looking for, which is to check if the controller has a warranty on it and see what their replacement or repair procedure would be. In the end I just sent them an email but now I need to wait for a response...

Are there any common sync bugs with controllers that didn't come up in google? Or is the controller just not going to work? I'd hate to be screwed over for being sent something that doesn't work.

I haven't seen any.. the only thing I can think of is your batteries.. is the power strong enough in the batteries? Make sure you're using new batteries.

From working in customer service, if you bitch enough you will get what you want.. the "customer is always right." Usually that is.

I mean.. It is a refurb. I work in a Call center for AT&T where we send out shit tons of refurb phones. about 50-70 percent of those will come back for another refurb exchange. It's just a problem with refurbs, they aren't inspected to the degree they should be.

That's why it's a refurb...the "tester" probably turned it on, saw that it worked, and marked "refurbed" on it. You should get it exchanged for another or just return it.
