So I am wearing an ozzfest shirt at work...

This is what's on the front/back of it. A good customer of ours came in, saw it, and asked me what the shirt was supposed to mean. I had no idea what to say as an answer, and told him it was just an ozzfest shirt from his concert. He informed me the shirt should be burned off of my back and that it is an abomoniation. I know this guy is heavily religious, he plays in a church band of some sort. This is the kind of stuff that really bothers me though. OMG OZZY IS THE ANTI CHRIST. Has anyone ever been to an ozzfest concert or any ozzy concert of a sorts? He says "God Bless You All!" After almost every song.

Discuss.

i would have loved to back in the day when the dude was actually alive.

You would have loved to what?

Edit: Oh, go to a concert. He's freakin' awesome.

A lot of Ozzy's "art" is made to "shock the establishment". That's all well and good, in the proper venue. Depending on where you work, that might not be too smart to wear amongst customers.

Edit: It wouldn't be smart to wear religious oriented prints, either.

Some people get their information from sources that are completely out of touch with reality, and accept those sources uncritically. Just visit P&N and read the regurgitated talking points.

Become pagan. Display hexago..hexagra...hexa---oh, whever-the-hell-they-call-t....OH! PENTAGRAM! Right. Display pentagrams all over your office. (He has crosses everywhere, right?)

Ummm....missed point about this being a customer, so this won't actually get him FIRED or anything....well, unless you find out where HE works....hehe.....

Ozzy has sucked since after the 3rd Sabbath album, though that's beside the point.

This begs the question, who gives a fvck what some random person things about your shirt, and why are you wearing something like that to work in the first place?

the anti-christ will be a bit sharper than ozz....poor bloke is about done.

As for the shirt, too bad Christians can't walk what they talk eh? I'd like to see a different approach, regardless of the objectionable material.

I'm religous and I don't find that offensive at all. In fact, I listen to Fear Factory and if you know the band, you know some of their songs are really bad (in a religious way).

I care because he was making me uncomfortable.

Idiots like that give Christians a bad name. I'm a Christian, and I can't even be around ppl like that. I've never been to Ozzfest, but I've seen Black Sabbath in concert, and I would get pissed too if someone said something like that to me.

You should never let someone make you feel uncomfortable.

1. Ozzy will never outlive things like "Speak of the Devil" or biting the head off a flying rodent in the eyes of the Christian crowd. One song about Satan ruins you for life in that regard. However, since they're not his target audience, who cares?

2. Expect negative feedback when wearing a concert t-shirt to work. Political correctness aside, people DO judge books by their covers. And the kind of customer who chastizes you for wearing an evil shirt is also the sort of moron who "takes his business elsewhere" over little things like this.

You should wear the infamous Cradle of Filth t-shirt next time that jerkoff comes in, something I obviously cannot post on this uptight BB.

Dead on.

Granted in an auto store it doesn't matter TOO much but if you were my employee I'd probably ask you not to wear it again.

My friend Tom wore his Cannibal Corpse: Eaten back to Life shirt to my high school graduation party back in the 90's. The look on some faces was great.

I remember being called a 'devil worshipper' when I wore my Metallica T-shirts in high school. I wonder what those people would say now if they knew that I've been a solid Christian for almost 9 years now and I still listen to Ozzy and Metallica. 🙂
