So I am thinking of starting a new business

I want to create an Indie record label.

There are alot of bands here that are good. Good enough to score a major contract and make me rich? Probably not but nonetheless, I think they are deserving of airtime and I think with my contacts, I can get them that (for a minor fee of course.)

All I am lacking is a catchy name and talent. Now, while you probably can't or won't help me with the talent part, how about some suggestions for the catchy name...

Can't believe I misspelled that. Guess I got in a hurry. Thanks!

And you have a "conservative" screen name? Isn't the Indie scene all about wearing Birkenstocks and smoking hemp and other activities popular in the Bay area?

Well, no guarantee.

However, I am very well known. (Have been candidate for public office and currently hold office.) Also, most of the bands here are just ""part time get together on the weekend bands." They have never thought about doing any more with it than that. I have tons of excellent contacts and access to the capital to make things happen. What will they have to lose?

While I have conservative beliefs, I can still promote records and recognize a good sound when I hear it.

While I think that is an excellent choice, not sure people here would get it and not sure Mr. Norris would approve.

Yeah you'll be real popular with those modern Indie fans. Jacket, Tucker Carlson bow tie, slacks, singing to a bunch of kids with hemp belts and emo haircuts.

I actually won't be wasting their time. All they have to do is provide me with the music. I will then distribute and promote to my contacts.

Osceola. Established in 1837 on the Mississippi River, Osceola was originally named Plum Point, and that is how it is referred to in the writings of Mark Twain. Osceola is 50 miles north of Memphis along the Mississippi River.

Who cares about business name. If you have contacts and pull, they won't care.

We already know music industry is not about talent. So who do you know in the music biz? Do they owe you any favors?

Wow, thanks. Yeah, I am not looking to benefit from this. I mean, if they make millions, I do want some of that. LOL
