4-6 then 1-3

3 Will totally ruin 4-6 for him, and the action might seem stale by comparison aswell...Not sure on the second thing I said, but the part where Padme names her kids, the part where Yoda goes into hiding, the whole fact that you'll know Vader is Luke's father...etc. etc. Just would ruin all the plot twists.

if you show them in numerical order, your friend might give up after 1 or 2 and not want to watch any more terrible acting.

I'd vote 4-6, 1-3 as well. 4-6 will seem primitive after the massive effects budgets of 1-3, and 1-3 do include cheating foreshadowing (that panders to your existing knowledge) as well as spoilers.

4,5,flashback to 1-3, then do 6. End with a bang and you don't give away surprises in 5.

Hmm, not bad. I finally got around to setting up my Hauappge to rip from my laserdiscs (Han Solo fired first!) so I'll have to try it that way.

4-6 then 3. go ahead and skip 1 and 2.

If this person is really your friend you would skip 1 and 2. Although I would consider my self a pretty serious SW fan I could of missed them both and been just fine.

Let him start at the beginning...its only right.

Absolutely. Episode 3 contains so many 4-6 spoilers that it just won't be the same.

I know a guy that specially modded his LD player for component output and capped off that for video, and off digital audio. He also fixed the busted-ass volume level on the "special features" on the LDs, and mastered up a killer set of menus. Personally, I'm waiting for him to finish the last little bit of menu on the last disc, and then I'm getting copies.

I agree.
