so yeah in a couple of weeks (after they remove the splints) i am hopefully going to know what it is like to breathe freely out of my nose.

will they improve they way it looks, as well as how it functions? good luck with it all. When and why did you decide to have the surgery?

my surgeon assures me it will not alter the appearance at all 😉

well i had been suffering from a chronic stuffy noise, sinusitis and allergies for years.

i got a ct scan which, after looking at it and seeing the s-shaped curve that is my nasal septum decided that would be the first thing to fix.

i am getting allergy shots now too. i got tested recently and was one of the most allergic folks they have ever seen.

they split the allergy shots into three shots to spread it over my body to reduce the chance of my having a reaction because i am at such a high risk of having a reaction.

so on the plus side of all this i am going to be feeling a LOT better in a year or two. all the nasal sprays and stuff have already changed my life.

was it worth it?

my surgeon is not packing my nose. just a plastic splint that he will remove a week later.

for the first 2 months I was breathing great. but now the last 2-4 months, I have been having dryness problems. Blowing lots of dried blood out of my nose.

Are you going under?

Do like me.

Before you go under try to consciously make yourself aware of how you feel the last like ten seconds before you go out. It's utter bliss.

Don't do like me.

Get your nose fixed, then break it again like 6 times, the first being about 3 months after the surgery.
