I have some ideas of what to do when we get there, what are your opinions of things to see or do?

Edit: nevermind, read the caption wrong

illusion88 is right, nobody from the Bay Area calls it "Frisco". Ever.

What's wrong with "Frisco?" What do people usually call it? 😕

San Francisco
You know, the NAME OF THE CITY!

Honestly though, walk the bridge, go to angle island, go to alcatraz, drive down Lumbard. You know, do all the touristy shit.

I was there in June. It's a beautiful city, to my surprise... I thought it'd be old and run down. As for what to do... we just saw the bridge, saw Alcatraz, drove Lumbard, and hit Chinatown.

If you are up here in SF, you might as well drive a little further north and hit Napa and the wineries. Also if you are a big sports fan, check out PacBell/SBC park as well.

OH. And here I thought "Frisco" was a completely different city. Sorry. 😛

Go to Alcatraz
Go north over Golden Gate into the Marin Headlands, just keep driving up highway 1 and stopping along the coast.
Drive south to Monterrey
Drive northeast to Napa valley - free wine. IF you go, let me know, I'll give you the address of one of the visitors centers that gives out free tasting certificates. Otherwise it is $5-$10 for 3-5 tastings
Check out Pier39/Fisherman's Wharf

Not really into wine, But what about Monterrey Bay Aquarium?

I personally liked the aquarium. It took me around 4 hours to do. Depends how long you like to stand and look at the same creatures swimming around. It is cool though and definitely worth it.

Also while you are down there, might as well check out Santa Cruz. I have never been to the boardwalk but if you take a pepsi can you get as many rides as you want for $8 after 5pm or something like that. It's as much beachy area as I could find for NorCal...it has a little SoCal feel to it imo.
