True, but if they don't have WEP on chances are they don't have the slightest idea what MAC filtering is either.

And ever more fun if they didn't changed the default password into the router. You can change the SSID to "Free Internet" :D
Not that I would do any of this.

Not that I would do any of this.

I'm the only person on my street with wireless, so security here isn't necessary. Yet I still run MAC filtering & 256 bit WEP. Would be nice if someone else around here got wireless stuff.

Have you played around with Netstumbler.

I've done some mapping of APs and really noticed a big increase since Christmas, I guess a lot of people got them a gifts.

My card for my laptop doesn't support it, but I have used it a couple times on other hardware. I've been registered on their forums for quite a while now. Tons of great info.
