So I almost ran over some dumb kid on a bike yesterday

I was at a intersection with a redlight. I was going northbound and the intersecting street goes east and west. There were cars lined up to make left turns on west side of the intersecting street so I didn't see the two kids riding their bikes on the sidewalk parallel with this street. The light turns green for me and I get half way through the intersection and see the two idiot kids fly through in front of me. I wasn't going that fast yet so I was able to easily stop. The damn kid didn't even notice that I had to stop for him. His friend following behind him just smiled like an idiot and they both biked on oblivious to what just happened.

If the light was green for me I don't think I would have been able to stop in time. Kid was very lucky but sadly I don't think he and his friend is going to live very long biking so carelessly like that.

That happens about every two blocks to me, then again the people on bikes are totally nucking futs here. I've even seen one guy eat Acura hood 20 feet in front of me because he was an idiot and went through a red without looking.

Could go either way. If they entered an intersection when it was red, they essentially ran a red light. Depending on your state laws, not being able to make it out of an intersection before the light turns red is also the same as running a red.

I promise, if you hit them, they will go on from that day forward without being oblivious idiots.

Thats the problem with the modern world and all these safety devices and rules. Nobody learns from their mistakes until it actually gets them killed.
Kids need to get hurt once in a while so they know life is real and not a video game.
