Not only did they kick the guy out of school, they put what he did on his transcript. If he tries to transfer his credits, the new school will know exactly what he did. So he can either try to transfer his credits knowing the new school will be told what he did, or he can keep his story secret by starting over somewhere else.

My good friend is an associate prof there and the student was in one of his classes.

Thats why you get on half.com and buy the teachers edition. I did that a couple times and no one was the wiser.
