So how would I get/build one of those FLIR cameras...(forward looking infared)?

I would LOVE to have one of those FLIRs... I would like to know how to get one or build one. Put one in the car, that would ROCK!!! Or even just to carry around. Anyone have any info on such a thing?

go to iraq and rip one off a downed helicopter. do the blackhawks have them? there always falling out of the sky.

Aviators don't need the same field of veiw that a driver does: They don't have to worry about whether or not it is safe to change lanes, whether or not anybody is coming that you need to yield to, etc.

Sure, occasionally they pass close to another aircraft, but they don't have to control their vehicle under that same tight condidtion in which the average car is driven.
