1) RIP Dad :'(

2) Happy about:
- New things I learned that I thought I couldnt do
- Finally found a use for a 32gig SSD drive that's been collecting dust on my desk
- The Fappening (Jennifer Lawrence full nude)

3) Unhappy about:
- We're Halfway into the 2nd decade in the new millennium and cheap internet in the US is still no where to be found.
My 1meg DSL went up to $25/month
- Problems. Even tho they're 1st world, it's still my problems

4) Newton's Balls

The good:

1 - First baby!
2 - A new house!

The okay:

1 - New house made me broke.
2 - Did a full reno on new place.
3 - Finally found a white TSX.

The bad:

1 - Someone hit and ran on my car while parked at work.
2 - Lots of stuff needed replacing on my TSX.
3 - No sleep due to new baby.

Overall I'm extremely happy with this year.

I starved for a couple months
tried to kill myself
became completely suffocated by debt, mostly due to a failed suicide attempt
My place of residence burnt down
im still alone

So overall still better than 2010.

Hell yea I had a good year. I had a great year. Ethics probes disappeared as soon as personal great news came my way and my firm realized how much money we could all make. The wise and beautiful woman-bitch that was investigating me suddenly found herself out of a job. I laughed. My son and dad are alive. Fuck everybody else. Also, I haven't gotten an infraction here for a good 4 months. That's reason to celebrate, right? GUNS UP!!!

Up and down because we can't seem to have a year without some sort of major personal tragedy anymore

The good:
-Earned more money at work and got what appears to be, on paper, a better job at a more stable company starting next month
-Traveled a lot on vacation: Orlando x2, Sedona, Flagstaff, Chicago x2, DC for the 4th, Oahu, Maui, Punta Cana, Barbados, St Lucia, St Kitts, St Thomas, Puerto Rico, Cancun
-Had some amazing experiences: I got to fly a T-6 airplane through aerobatics in Orlando, first scuba dive in Maui, amazing catamaran ride in Barbados
-Retirement account looks good

The bad:
-Father-in-law passed away
-Rocky news about my dad's cancer
-Spent the year working for a financially unstable company which can be a tad stressful (I think they still have enough money this month to make payroll)

Crazy, but good. Moved across the country for work; miss Vancouver and my friends back there (bad) but sold off my place and my car, so absolutely zero debt and I'm making more now, so just saving a lot (good). Should be an interesting 2015.

The bad:
-Two grandparents passed away.
-Still in a desk job that I hate. Unaware of much else that pays me what I get, which quite honestly isn't really that much.
-Agency has hiring freeze at the next level above me, so ... I have nowhere to go here.
-Haven't yet convinced the SO to try moving to a rural area someplace where the air doesn't hurt my face. I dislike the suburbs.

The good:
-Booked month-long trip to Europe for next year using miles and hotel points.
-Got ~7% raise this year. Also, 2 years of retro payment is coming soon!
-The sun came out a couple days ago after being missing for 4-6 weeks.
-Not dead

Crazy, personally, because I went through a completely unprecendented 4 jobs this year (on my 4th now) having only switched jobs once since 2008.

Don't know how my wife and I got through this year.

Other than that, it was a fine year for me.

My dad died but other than that it was a pretty good year. Well besides work running out of money and only making partial payroll.

it was the best of times, it was the worst of times, Triplets turned 5 and are growing up to be awesome people, lost my dad, had 3 surgeries while living with chronic pain and have a medical condition that doctors have no idea what it is . I closed a business and sold another.

Started a book and I tinker with cars while being a stay at home dad for a while. Actually enjoy teaching my kids and have started teaching music again.

My 2014:

The good:
1. Started crossfitting and eating well. Have lost almost 30lbs since october and I feel great
2. Had a blast coaching my son in t-ball and basketball. Little ah heck is turning out to be pretty good at karate too.
3. Daughter finally started talking . . . in retrospect this might be a "bad" thing :)
4. Finished most interior renovations of my home
5. After driving a beater corolla for 12 years, I purchased a new daily driver (TSX)
6. Got a huge raise at work

The ok:
1. House renovations took FOREVER (6+ months) and were quite costly
2. My dad (who moved in with us in late 2013) decided to move back to the Czech republic permanently (I'll miss him but he needs to be happy)

The bad:
1. Truck broke down 3 times this year (brake lines, radiator lines, starter)
2. Spent way more money than I wanted on home renos and car repairs.
3. Had hernia repair surgery.

Overall, a pretty good year.

- did a shitload of fishing in the summer

the bad:

- the redskins are still a shit team that seems even more lost than it did before. just when you think it can't get worse, it does
- have had a nagging shoulder injury for the past few months that just won't go away and is fucking up my lifting goals

The good: lots of cool travel and concerts, A/C in house for first time, bumper citrus crop
The middlin: less overtime/less money
The bad: a cat died, the corn crop failed, and the roof leaks

Baby cousin being born just yesterday morning was the highlight of the year, 8 pounds 4 ounces and healthy as a horse:)

Biggest disappointment maybe is t.v based,SOA is over and ended on a lame note,Better call Saul isn't till next year and that is about it.Oh and American Horror story season 4 apparently sucks more then 1+2 combined....its so bad i don't dare watch it.

Robin Williams and his passing nearly made me cry, that man was just incredible in everything he did.
