so how much does it cost exactly to break up a contract with Nextel after 4 monts?

Anubis is right. USD$200.

Oh, and why didn't you check to see what their signal quality was before you got a contract with them? 😉

I actually had a Nextel phone for a year a couple of yrs ago. Service was great back then so i figure it would be the same. Now it really sux in my area, but its great everywhere else.

damn plus i gotta pay a dealer fee of like $250 if i break my contract. plus i put another 250 down with Nextel that i wont get back i guess if i break my contract. sux! i guess im staying with nextel

You'd be surprised what talking to the company can do. Call them up and let them know your situation, I'm sure they'll try to make you happy somehow because they know a 'Ummm..Sorry you're stuck' response from the customer service rep will not get them a service renewal.
