SO how many of you are still looking for 8800GTs?

I chanced a Zalman for this deal (http://forums.anandtech.com/me...135097&enterthread=y); realizing worst case scenario I just buy a cheap $20 sweet cooler (http://www.newegg.com/Product/...k=False&=0&=100&Page=), best case I don't have to buy anything.

Well, they've still got the deal going until Jan 31st...

My guess is most people are afraid of the Zalman, or don't like the rebatage. But when this card is no longer in stock, then I will officially agree that this card is impossible to get. Until then (and this deal has been available for....3 weeks I think now...), anybody can get a reasonably priced 8800GT that wants one.

So what gives? If you do your DD, you can get a card for a reasonable (MSRP = $250) price IF you have to buy the cooler.

either one of those looks like its better than the stock cooling. Of course the Zalman version you may want to pick up some RAM sinks for a few bucks if you want to OC.

The ram sinks do not fit under that fan, and I thought there was no diff between the s1/s2? Why do you say the s1 (version 1)?

S1 is bigger and has two more heatpipes. S2 is for compatibility. There are low profile heatsinks though. The Accelero S2 is different from the S1 Rev 2
