So, how is the Nvidia Surround experiance for those with 470/480 SLIs?

Anyone care to share some experiances on nVidia surround on the new GTX cards?

Im comparing to Eyefinity to see what i should get. Apparantly those with Eyefinity report that you simply dont see the bezels after some game time and that its a great experiance.
Is the experiance the same with nVidia surround?

Yes it was delayed wasn't it? It was just an announcement of an announcement of an announcement that it would be announced...eventually. :p

Well.. the bezel effect is independent of the implementation really, with or without bezel management your brain just treats them like window partitions - you're focused on the scene behind the partition so you don't notice them. So in that respect either solution is going to provide the same experience.

The official driver support isn't suppose to be out for another month or 2 and the leaked support is supposedly pretty buggy in some games still.

wasnt it supposed to be out for the masses one month after the Fermi release?
Would appreciate a link or some source for the info about it being officially supported in a few months

And those who are doing it "unofficially".. hows the experiance? Im guessing it has to be more fluid since you have more power available

It was suppose to be ready on release..
The closest thing to official word is nVidia's blog post here:
http://blogs.nvidia.com/ntersect/2010/05/introducing-the-new-256-driver-release.html

What’s Next for Release 256?
3D Vision Surround – Like you, we really wanted support for NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround in this first release, however, our software team is currently making some final improvements to the driver. As Tom mentioned here, Surround will be ready in the second release that is targeted for the end of June. We look forward to introducing 3D Vision Surround to you next month!

That's good news, end of June is better than nothing. I'd imagine getting 3D vision Surround to work across two cards was more difficult than nVidia anticipated.

I'll be interested to see how it pans out in real world gaming.
