It doesn't. It appears as though it has not indexed for months. Yet another wonderful feature. FuseTalk is full of them. :roll:

Seriously, the search really stinks. When I first joined, it was great. You enter a term and it would return the results in reverse chronological order.

Then, the powers that be started tweaking it, and it has never worked since. I started a thread about it, and a staffer told me to think "google" when I thought about the search engine and to be patient with it. That was over a year ago. Whatever happened, I think that their ideas may have been a little too ambitious.

Will somebody freaking fix this? Try searching for wii in OT (using advanced search)...nada. Ridiculous.

I've found that if you search for something that you know appears in the title and select the "Title or Body" option it won't find it, but if you have it search "Title and Summary" it will find some stuff. Try it with "wii" in OT. Why, I have no idea. The search here is completely borked, which is one of the reasons people posting "Repost" annoys the hell out of me. Maybe if the search actually worked correctly, there would be fewer reposts.

the full text index needs to be rebuilt. FTI's must be rebuilt periodicly or they become useless. Someone talk to Anand and get me a login to the box and I can fix that.

If I know something appears in the title, I don't even bother going to the Search window. I just use the quick search at the top of the page, because for some reason that actually works.

Working search WAS nice...too bad 🙁
