So how do you like your Motorola V300?

Since T-mobile "lost" my contract, I was thinking of getting the Motorola V300 for -$100. It appears to be the best phone in this price range.

Anything else even comparable that puts $100 in my pocket?

I've had my V300 for a month and its great. Then again anything is probably better than the bulky old Nokia 25X I used to lug around 🙂 BTW...I got my data cable from Newegg. It was slightly more than eBay.

I like mine.

The pros: flip phone, easy to use screen, external display, very durable, good battery life
The cons: ringer/vibe not strong enough, can't put more than one number in each phone book name, mine has a tenedency to disconnect when the flip part is pushed on (like if you cradle it on your shoulder)

According to phonescoop.com, you can have multiple #'s per name...

Try storing in the phone instead of the SIM card.

As AJ said, you CAN store more than one number per name. It's not that hard, but the default settings (store to SIM) won't allow it and the way you have to enter them is counterintuitive. The phone book system is not as good as others I've used.

I do like my V300, though. The biggest pros IMO are that it has a very nice screen, mp3 ringtones, Java games, and decent battery life. Cons are mediocre reception performance, slow processor (scrolling through certain menus sometimes takes a long time), and both the ringer and earpiece volume could be louder.
Also, my phone does lock up occasionally and we had to get my fiancee's replaced because it died completely.

Overall, I think it's a good phone with a good feature set, especially considering the price.
