as in, if i go there to pawn something off, what kind of process am i looking at going through?

Ain't that the truth... especially for jewelry... never deal w/ a pawn shop when jewelry is involved.

You can get good deals on weapons though.

You can straight sell outright for a major loss or pawn and pay some crazy interest on the amount of the loan.
You can pay it in full within the alloted time or just pay the interest month to month...try every other ave before going that route..
What are you taking in ??

Whatever you do have a general idea of what the items you want to buy go for new. Pawn shops love to sell old crap for high prices, sometimes for the same price you can buy it at the store. Every now and then you can find a great deal but you have to negotiate with them. Don't necessarily settle on the sticker price!
