So how do I clean my records...?

So I'm sitting here listening to my Led Zeppelin II LP and I'm hearing a lot of clicks and clacks. I know, the album is pretty scratched and no matter how much I clean it, I'm still going to hear them. However, I somehow feel that by cleaning the record a little bit (if that's possible) will enhance my listening experience. I'm probably wrong, but just for the hell of it, can somebody tell me how to clean records properly, without scratching/damaging them more? Thanks.

Cool, but I don't have any of that. Any other solvents that I can use? And, when I'm cleaning the record, do I wipe in a straight line from the inside of the record to the outside edge just like on a CD?

:D JShaker, Scotch Brite's a scouring pad. :D check out Aphex's ref. It's the right way to go about it. The rest is humor at your expense ;)

Figured as much.

Going to buy some isopropyl alcohol today. Haven't cleaned my vinyl collection since, well, since I started it.

This reminds me: where's a good place to auction off LP's for collectors? I was recently helping my mom move, and found the original starwars soundtrack LP, 4 door albums, 5 beetles, and a george carlin routine.

That reminds me:

I love to buy LPs that are in generally good condition. I'm not much of a collector, more of a "I'd rather listen to vinyl than to a CD" kind of guy. If you send me a list of what you have, I will send you a list of what I want and then we can work out something. Let me know!
