Expecting (finals aren't until the week after next):
Theater: A-
Effective Speech: A-
Thermodynamics: B+
Electronics Intro: A
Advanced Strength of Materials: C
Advanced strengths sucks. I put more time into that course than all the others combined, and I still do lousy. My homework grade (20% of the grade): somewhere above a 95%. Two tests, 25% of the total grade each - 70% and 62%. I need at least a 67% on the final in order to get a 70%, and I'm not used to having such a slim margin for error. Honestly, that will be cutting it close, especially given that my test average thus far is only a 66%.
Estimated GPA: 3.38. Thankfully, Advanced Strengths is only a 3 credit course, not 4. Last semester, I got a C in Ordinary and Partial differential equations.
Another two courses added up to 4 credits: B+
3 credit machine design: B+
4 credit Physics II: A
Differential Equations: C
GPA: 3.15.
Differential equations: It all looks nifty, all these crazy wave functions, ways of approximating discontinuous functions, but there are just so damned many methods to memorize for how to solve so many kinds of equations. Why couldn't there just be one method to learn first that solves anything, THEN work on the shortcut methods? And, the course had no homework grade - all tests. I'd managed B's in Calc I and II, only because of a nearly perfect homework grade in both.
