Maybe because there wasnt a reason to make a sequel? There was a point in time when movies didnt automatically get a sequel if it was a hit... sadly, those days have passed.

I saw this coming some time ago. My first reaction was: What kind of fvcking crack is the studio smoking to even consider giving this film the go-ahead and where can I get it? I mean, it really has to be some good sh!t.

I guess New Line needs to burn up some of that LOTR money
