The fact that they let it get to game 5 in a best of 5 says something. They slacked off near the end of the regular season, fully expected them to tank.

What the hell, though, 3 unforced errors in one inning by Texas?

P.S. Very low expectations. Watched them (Blue Jays) lose and suck for over a decade, gave up over the second decade.

You sound like a superfan. I bet you can't contain your excitement.

I live in Dallas and work with a bunch of baseball/Rangers fans. Seeing their reactions tomorrow is going to be epic. Not a baseball fan myself but was still pulling for the home team. Tough loss, especially being up 2-0 in the series and losing.

what an epic choke job by the texas teams. now two of the most annoying teams in the AL are playing for WS. For the first time in forever, im rooting for the NL team.

Royals annoying? They are America's team right now and have been an underdog since they won the WS in 1985.

How can you consider a team that plays small ball so effectively and can come from behind to win annoying?

Don't answer that. It doesn't matter.

I have watched countless innings of baseball in my life at all levels of the sport. I have never seen anything as wild as that. It was insane. I don't even know where to begin

And as for the bat flip "controversy" -- don't like the hitter to celebrate? Don't throw a meatball. I HATE that people get upset over a bat flip. And I'm about as old-school as they come too.

Jose earned every ounce of flip in that bat flip. It was perhaps egregious, but earned if nothing else. Flip away, imo.

Exactly. It would be like a hockey team scoring the go ahead goal and the other team bitching and moaning about them celebrating. Bautista didn't stand there for a minute and gaze at it, he was off and running in seconds.

Watching baseball is two steps below watching paint dry on the excitement meter.

I understand where you are coming from if you are talking about regular season baseball when "your team" is not playing. I'm that way with soccer and hockey. But really good soccer and hockey played in the World Cup, or Stanley Cup finals is actually very enjoyable.

You should spend some time watching the NLCS or ALCS before completely writing off baseball.

ffuuuuu Rangers failed. They had three chances to swing a series win and now they're out. Manager Banister was all defensive in the post-game interview. Though he had a point, it was a amazing feat to make it to the playoffs considering the Ranger's standing in early August.

Never really cared for the Astros as they were NL.

So ... how'd the Cardinals do?
