My wife's parents are foster parents, One of the little girls living with them (and her little brother and sister) was sexually abused by her father, who was having an affair with her case worker also.

anyways this little girl who's about 6 had to testify in OPEN court about exactly what her dad did to her. She was about 3-4 I think when it happened.
Finally they came down with the verdict. Life w/o parole.

personally I think they should have killed the f*%^$er.
the strange thing is I've seen nothing in the news about this, you'd think something this sick would be in the head lines.

you wanted them to kill him? well give it a little time, the inmates in prison will probably do as you wish. anyone that harms a child is not looked upon in a good light in prison.

I haven't heard all the details from the family b/c i don't want to hear them, it'll just piss me off. so that makes me think how much worse it must have been what she said in court, than what I've heard. this was his biological daughter BTW. sicko

I've never heard of a penalty that harsh...particularly since this guy (apparently?) was on trial for a first offense. I'm not saying have mercy on these guys and that the offense 'isn't that bad'...not at all... but that sounds sort of harsh for a first offense when maybe the guy was raped when he was young and never got any counseling or something....blah blah blah...again, no violins, but perhaps this guy can be rehabbed and no longer a threat to society, and something like 25 or 40 years even would be enough.

As for the priests tho who have molested many times over?...They should fry 50 times over.

i fail to see the distinction you make... the only difference is that they didn't catch the priests the first time. nothing to do with the molestor themselves.

And you probably shake your head and wonder why the rest of us have so little faith in the justice system.

The distinction is a first offender vs. a repeat offender, and it going on for 20 years vs. 1 year or maybe less. Mcveigh hasn't even given any details of whether this happened once or twice or how often, if often over a 2 year period. And you say fry him without knowing the facts. Serial molesters usually don't get harsher penalties than this, and probably often get off much easier.
