and this money is burning a hole in my pocket.

Is it safe to buy one yet..I'm worried about dead pixels, and ejecting issues as well as browser problems I've read about.

The ejecting issue was resolved before the official US release. I bought mine first US release day and have no problems whatsoever. Just make sure you get a good cover as it is still prone to dust inside the screen. The dead pixel issue (if you want to call it that) is still there. I have 2 of em and I only noticed them after reading about people b!tching about it, so I took a magnifying glass to mine and saw 2 extrememly tiny pixels that were lighter than others. I dont even notice during gameplay or movies.
