But it is unavailable till next week. I tried buying it but the compiter won't sell it to you. Overall it looks very nice for 109.99

It looks too busy for my tastes. Way too many pores, way too many things going on and would be interesting to look at for about a week after which I'll shut that computer down for good and go back to my Thinkpad.

what the hell? we sold several of those already at the palo alto frys, and it's avalable for sale else where as well (newegg for one). sounds like a fluke in the system. i will check on it when i go in tonight though, but im almost positive we have already sold several as i made the sale on 2 of them myself. i just havent been in since last sunday

Cases are like politics except poor choices in cases have little effect on those who don't make the poor choices. Use a rational analysis plan for the performance results you want and then align your emotions with the results of the analysis. Much better than making the emotional choice and then trying to rationalize later.

I've never understood the fetish with gaudy cases like this. My Antec 300 is the perfect case IMO.

I thought Antec 300/900 to be pretty gaudy too.... 😕

the Antec 300 looks a case that they wanted to make gaudy but ran out of ideas. It's like half way there, which in some ways makes it even more gaudy.

The antec 300 is not flashy/gaudy, i mean maybe if you throw a bunch of neon lights and fans in it but stock it looks pretty refined.

How is the 300 gaudy. It is incredibly simplistic looking. There are hardly any features except for maybe the fan on top.

that and the mesh on the front. My dad saw it, he's old school and dislikes anything that stands out. He commented on how it looks too busy. Even if that's there to help with air flow, it makes the case stick out like a sore thumb next to a conservative case. My dad wouldn't be caught dead using a case like the 300.

Better advice has seldom been given. I nominate Zepper for sainthood. All those in favor, say, "I."

Aye, I can toast to that . Picking something based on what you think it should be and then trying to rationalize it when it turns out to suck is just a good way for you to dig yourself deeper into your hole. It's also the reason im so tired of my thermaltake armor. I picked it based on what was avalable at the time, but compared to now, the build quality and feature set is lacking at best, and at most I cant believe i got so little out of it for the $160 i spent on it back in 2006. better cases can be had now for $100, and what you can get for what i paid is nothing short of amazing compared to what i have been putting up with in this case. it was amazing when i got it sure, and it met my needs well at the time. on the flip side, my hands are bigger now than they were then, and the lack of a motherboard tray is really starting to grind my nerves every time i have to take the mobo out, which is about every other month. soon as i get $400 in the bank im ordering a Lian Li Armorsuit P-80. it weighs less than my 22 inch monitor, comes with mostly 140mm fan mountings (vs having 92mms), and the entire design is just more streamlined, not to mention i wont have half assed drive bay mountings anymore. i had to take a blowtorch and titanium drill bits to one of my hard drive cages to get the screw hole mountings lined up right on my drive cage which mounts at the top of the case by the PSU. i like having my system drive isolated up there from the rest of my hard drives, but all 3 holes were drilled off center on one side from the other side. i also had to remove a length of metal from the case because it was blocking screwdriver access to the back IO panel screw mountings, due to my having ripped the tool free mounting out because it kept snapping off anyway.

on the flip side, my 690 has better cable management, better drive mountings, better airflow, and is easier to work inside despite being a mid tower, even without a removable motherboard tray. i almost bought another last week before i decided to just wait on the armorsuit lol

bumpin' an old thread, I ordered this sucker from Newegg for 94 + S&H. Quite a drastic change from the Murderbox Mod (case only) I was about to drop $900 on. I cleared my head out and decided even if I could technically afford a $900+ case it's not a good buy.. I've owned quite a few Coolermaster cases in the past, my case right now is an CM Ammo, which is pretty odd looking, but for the price I paid I love it. The Scout -

heavy, I expected this for it being steel, I'd actually pay more for an aluminum version - oh well
painted black inside and out, SWEET, even the back panel is black. Now I just got to get off my lazy ass and paint my IO shield to match lol.
handle is nice, I lug my box around, the weight with everything in it will suck, but the handle is a great touch.
side window has automotive tint, it's not dark, but it's not clear. I don't know if I like the shape of the window, but the tint is a nice touch
PSU at the bottom, nice I suppose. has holes for cable management behind the MB, but I don't think I can fit my bigger ones, like ATX power back there 🙁

I have not xfered my components to it yet, I was going to today but decided I would wait a day or 2 until I'm ready to sit down and spend some time actually trying to make my wiring look nice.

For the price this is a great case, it's not overly flashy, and seems very well built. and at $122 shipped it's about 1/10th the price I would have paid for the Murderbox. Nowhere near as cool, but I can use the $900 difference to go i7 with Crossfire.
