Melatonin is definitely the bomb. I've been using it for years. Works great and leaves no hangover the next morning. The only side-effect I've noticed is it tends to give you very vivid dreams - I used to know a girl who took it for that specific reason.

LOL, wth is a vivid dream. My dreams are soo screwy these days, I dont think I can handle anymore.

Just a caveat about all the melatonin praise. Any pill was designed to be taken only as needed. Your body naturally releases melatonin to regulate your sleep. If you take extra amounts frequently you are going to alter your bodies chemistry, likely causing more problems in the future. Once in a while when battling insomnia or when there's something important the next day is fine.

Taking sleeping pills is not a good thing if you ever plan to work for a goverment job such as a cop. They will drill you about why have you taken sleeping pills.

All I wanted was something to knock me out once I close my eyes. Something that would allow me to get a good nights rest. I think these pills are putting me into a coma at night because I can barely get out of bed willingly in the morning.

Oh yea, they're over the counter.

Umm

1) you take a pill
2) you go to sleep

true, but i'm not kidding. I took a pill once because I really can't sleep on planes.
Had an interview for a civil service job and they asked me all kinds of crap on why I took that pill. Like maybe you got mental problems or are addicted to them etc etc.

Satellite surveillance photos.

I don't see the point of sleeping pills. I have a hard time getting to sleep, which means I often wake up tired. If I were to take a sleeping pill, I'd go to sleep right away, and then still be really tired in the morning? Why bother?
