I have a brand new Minolta Dimage S414 that I've had for 3 days. Today I took my sister to the rose gardens in Portland to take source photos for her art (pastels). Here's three of them. These were taken with a UV filter + a polarizing filter, no tripod.

I would resize them, but that would defeat the purpose of this thread. :)

Big flowers.

The filters seem to be doing the trick.

Everything looks sharp.

How much did you get it for in the end? any discounts?

I own a Minolta F100 myself.

In the end the camera was $290, & I spent $80 on lenses + filters + a 35.5 -> 43 mm step up ring. I also had to get NIMH batteries, a charger, & I picked up a tripod from a guy in FS/FT. Total spent around $500.

so what lenses did you get? Any pics of the accessories that you bought?

Read a thing on a site its suppose to be fast. 0.8seconds between shoot to shoot time:D MUCH faster then my one :(

I'll take some pictures of the accessories I got, right now I need to get these pics off my roommate's server. It's pretty well nuked our connection. :D

Problem is neffing.com's hosting doesn't allow anything larger than 256K, & bbzzdd seems to be non-functional for registration or password recovery...

Nikon MB-100 vertical grip for D100: $160
Extra Battery: $50
Nikon 50mm 1.8 lens: $110
Nikon 24mm 2.8 lens: $200
Nikon 80-200mm 2.8 lens: $650
Viking 256 MB Flash card: $25
Lexar USB Flash card reader: $20

Total: $3515

nice images, but dude they must be resized for you connection type.


and what digicam allows to you buy a lenses for it, other than SLR type?

These files are ~1.5 megs apiece (2272x1704 JPG).

I'm still waiting on the password recovery from one of my domains to go through.

In the meantime (since everybody here is getting drunk & not using the internet) I'll re-link them to our server here.

Sounds like a nice setup, cool pics. Did you taken them between like 2-5? The lighting seems to give me that feel

Does the camera offer manual control or all auto? The last picture is a little burnt looking, might push it down a step if you can :)
