So does anyone in the world hate Google?

I seriously can't think of one person who does not like Google, minus Bill Gates / other search engine bigwigs.

I just think it's really interesting that it is the one company that everyone likes for the most part. Hard to think of another one like that.

Let me know when they fix their mail. Until then I don't have a lot of respect for them including their invasion of privacy.

The fact they display ads based on the content of emails?

The whole google desktop fiasco.

I don't love google, but I don't hate it either. Some of it's products (Search, Adsense/Adwords, Gmail) are really good. Some are really bad (Google Desktop, iGoogle, Lively).

its free which is why people love it, if Google charged anything for people to use their search engine you would see alot of bitching.

I have said it before and I will say it again. If you can't find your shit on your own computer, you need to learn how to organize.

There will always be people that hate the best.

It's easier to pull those above you down instead of rising up yourself.

Agreed. That's also why I have windows indexing turned off. I know where my crap is stored. Usually.

I like most of google's stuff. Hard to complain about free though 😉

Fail, I know where stuff is, but I'd either have to clutter my desktop with shortcuts or open explorer to navigate to it myself. I know where my stuff is, but I'm very lazy.

I don't hate them - but I don't particularly trust or like them. I do still use their products, though.

This.

I've grown better feelings toward them in the last couple of years, or so. I used to hate them and not use any Google product, if I could help it.

For me GD rocks. I work on various C/C++ compilers and there's always an idiom or issue that I've encountered previously that I'll run into again sooner or later. GD always finds it for in an instant. Try searching for a construct like __STDC__=1 using your own memory! GD is where it's at. The only thing is hate is that sometimes it will start indexing while I'm working which bogs down the system. Other than that it's a lifesaver.
