I was wondering if the new modem standard would work sort of like diamonds shotgun tech where it would let calls through and redial after the call is done. that way you can sorta share the line with voice without much hassle.

otherwise its hard to download larger files on a dialup of course:p no dsl isn't an option rihgt now:(

i'm using an old supra sonic 2 dual modem that sorta has these features. in win98 you can set it to dial the 2nd line if necessary and then drop it when calls are being made:p but it doesn't work in win2k because diamond doesn't support their sh*t :(

Make sure your ISP supports v.92 protocol.
Answer your question: I dont know for sure because my ISP doesn't support it.
For now, I use ActionTec Call Waiting Modem. Although I can receive phone call while I'm online but it can't resume internet connection after 6 or 7 seconds.
