Thanks for bringing the issue to us for advice.
This problem appears to be an issue with the motherboard. As much as
it may not seem like a big deal to move, add or change cables while the PC
is running, these situations can happen. Your issue is basically third in
the line of "worst case scenarios". The next up the chain is a completely
non-responsive system, and the First in the line is a fire or
electrocution occurred... So it's all-bad to do that. At this point, you're going to
need to contact Asus to have the motherboard repaired. The system now has an
issue with the slots, in particular the AGP slot. Most likely the
component failure is within the chipset stream. A slower card may not manifest
the problem in the way this EXTREMELY FAST card has. This would be due to
any of a number of reasons such as the pipelines to the processor, the voltage
delivery mechanism, or some other related device.
But, there is an outside chance that the issue is with the PSU in
the
system as well. If you try our card in the computer without the Audigy
in
it, what happens?
