I noticed it's on HBO already so I watched it the other night.

I thought it was an excellent movie actually. I had a tough time with the tent scene and so I shut it off at that point. I TIVO'd the movie though so I started watching it after that scene last night and watched the rest of the movie. Wow, what a heartbreaking movie. If you can get past the gayness I'd highly recommend watching it. Great performances by Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal.

BTW-I'm not gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that of course. :p

Oh, and you get to see Michelle Williams' and Anne Hathaway's boobs in this movie too.

You can see those on the internet without having to watch a bad movie.

Yes. It was a good movie. However, it's the same as any other love story with the exception that they were gay.

In a way yes, but in a way no. Being gay made their love socially unacceptable, and that was a big part of the movie.

Yes, but what about stories such as Romeo and Juliet where each comes from a family that hates the others' (grammar?)? In some sense, it is socially unacceptable for them to have any sort of relationship.

Edit:
Haha. Beat by dxkj by a minute!

I didn't say there aren't any other love stories involving forbidden love, I said the forbidden nature of their love made this not "just another love story." It's an element that differentiates Brokeback Mountain. And it's also an element that differentiates Romeo and Juliet. It's not an element that differentiates Must Love Dogs.

It's not "the same as any other love story except they were gay," because if you take out their gayness there isn't much story. Just two people having an affair.

I thought it was a great, alot of great aspects to the movie. Even though i am not gay and I have seen it twice with my GF (felt like i had to add that for the middle-schoolers), I bet we will watch it many times.

Wanna watch a hilarious movie that can make some people feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable? "Another Gay Movie."

Think American Pie meets a bunch of gay HS guys.

No point commenting on it when half of ATOT are homophobes and wouldn't know a good movie if it slit their throat.

:D

There were parts of it that I didn't particularly like, but over all, I enjoyed it. I think I've watched it 3 times, actually.
