so Cracked had to shed light on our racist clown.

The whole thing was the 'progressive' mentality playing out exactly the way it always does.

Everything is about going emo and reacting blindly like a spoiled 2 year old, nothing is about rational thought, logic or facts.

Wheres your thread on Obama supporters getting death threats?

And illegals dont count.

Why would I start a thread on it? See I understand that there are stupid people on every side of every issue who will do stupid things. It means absolutely nothing other than those people are stupid.

So you agree that everyone who condemned the clown, and everyone who thought that his routine involved Obama's race, is f'n stupid?

Fair enough.

But I thought the point of the link was that a single unreliable source was behind the examples cited. In short, at the circus act given, only one person tweeted upset of the many who attended.

A parallel statistical example, I think, would be, say me coming to P & N this morning, seeking to fill a few minutes with entertainment and posting my amusement in this thread, among the vaster majority who came here to post their outrage.

The lesson, I think, that needs to be drawn, is that the circus and the internet have a different relationship to clowns. In the former we go to see them and in the latter we come to be them, generally speaking.

Terrible is what it is. Ruined a man's life based on ultra sensitivities.

Welcome to Amerikkka. Your freedom of speech ends where my schizophrenia begins. Comparing Bush to a monkey is fine. Comparing Obama to a monkey is racism. Calling Bush the worst president ever is a fact. Calling Obama the worst president ever is racism. Calling Bush a war criminal is acceptable. Calling Obama a war criminal is racism.

I keep saying this because I think it's true - most people are mentally ill. PETA once had a campaign showing pictures of German concentration camps and pictures of factory farms to show how hypocritical it is to condemn one but not the other since both are remarkably cruel. People freaked out and went the opposite direction, assuming that PETA's intended message was that the holocaust was a good thing since apparently everyone agrees that factory farming is ok. Seriously, this shit is too retarded to make up. A part of me hopes we never find a cure for cancer since most people obviously deserve it.

That article is worse than the ones it attempts to mock.

There's video of the act, morons. Nobody's going by a Facebook post that it happened.

bush was compared to a monkey many times. There were so many attacks on him. Don't try to defend obama when is wrong.

Yes, based on Bush's appearance and lack of intellect. Obama doesn't look like a monkey or an African witch doctor for that matter. The comparisons are based on old racist tropes not appearance.

Btw, remember how the Dixie Chicks criticized Bush's actual policies and that ended their career?

I don't get the problem here. People make fun of and parody politicians, celebs and the foibles of humanity all the time. Could some of the posters here and others be correct, that somehow President Obama is exempt because of his ethnicity?

Which of the following is really different?

You don't appear to understand the difference in tone. The Reagan masks were used for anonymity and heists. The different one is where the Obama mask is on a clown with a broomstick in his ass.

2timer and dumbassseraph are too busy sucking each other's cock to read

Yup, the same act had been done with Bush, Clinton, Other Bush, and even Reagan. (You could even read about a similar routine back in 1994 when people didn't give a shit -- it's pretty much the same thing, right down to the part where there was a broom up Bush Sr.'s ass.)
Gessling said the clown act has been around for generations.

"I didn't think anything more of it than what we've done 15 years ago, 10 years ago, five years ago, when we've done it with Bush, Clinton and Ronald Reagan," Gessling said.

But this time, race entered the equation. A white man dressed in a mask of a black president as the black man's lips were mocked was offensive to a lot of people.

"I never did anything because of anybody's race. I don't care what color somebody is. If they're blue, white, green, polka dotted, striped ... it doesn't bother me one bit," Gessling said.

He adds it was not about politics either.

When asked if he was a Democrat or a Republican, Gessling simply replied, "I am a rodeo clown."

To Gessling it is a matter of perspective.

"I actually think that a lot of people have lost their ability to laugh," Gessling said. "Look at the country as a whole, there is a lot more to be mad at than a rodeo clown at a rodeo trying to make somebody laugh."

He hasn't worked since the Missouri State Fair, but plenty of support has been building too, and now he has a rodeo coming up in Jefferson City. A rodeo in Texas invited him to come down.
