Ok, so I'd like to have an ultraportable PC kinda thing. Features I would really really like:

Large screen, high res, good enough to read ebooks on.
CompactFlash card expansion slot - I've got an 8GB card that I'd really like to use.
GPS add-on capability for road trips and maybe hiking.
Mini portable accessory QWERTY keyboard available.
Good battery life. Cheap extra batteries.
Maybe phone?
Price: <$400?

Not sure if this is currently possible:
USB connectivity to connect to USB mass storage devices.

TIA

I'd recommend an Ipaq, I'll get you an exact model in a few minutes. I wouldn't go with a smart phone, your just going to get skin oil/sweat all over the screen every time you use it.

Here ya go

It has bluetooth and cf/sd slots. You can get either a blue tooth GPS device or CF or I believe they may have SD now. For example, you could get a bluetooth adapter and store all of your maps on your CF card and use it in the car for directions.

Thanks! I was also thinking about the new Dell x51v? How much is a 3rd party GPS system for pocket PC's? And how good are Pocket PC's for reading eBooks?
